Confucius Classroom at Rosebank College Open Day

Confucius Classroom opens to new students and the local community.

On May 6th, Rosebank College held an open day for future students and parents to experience the various classes and facilities that are offered. The Confucius Classroom at Rosebank College participated in the open day by displaying various artworks from the students in the classroom. The event was also open to the local community and there were roughly 3000 attendees that were able to see the language learning achievements of the Confucius Classroom through Chinese calligraphy, paper-cutting and more.

It was an honour to have Mr. Niu Wenqi, Education Counsellor of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney, at the Confucius Classroom during this event. Not only did he engage with students, parents and teachers, Mr. Niu Wenqi also demonstrated his calligraphy skills to the attendees. The Education Counselor then also proceeded to write several traditional Chinese inscriptions for the Confucius Classroom.

Other guests included Mr. Liu Jianbo, Consul of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney and A/prof Xi Junfang, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at UNSW Sydney. Mr. Niu Wenqi and the rest of the honourable guests joined the prospective students throughout the Open Day and participated in several classes.
