On June 21, a delegation of doctors from Renji Hospital in Shanghai visited UNSW. Renji Hospital is the teaching hospital at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the Confucius Institute at UNSW’s partner university.
Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at UNSW, A/Prof Junfang Xi, briefed the visiting delegation on the Confucius Institute at UNSW’s establishment and development over the years.
The delegation also met with the Co-Founders of The Pelvic Expert, an online platform providing evidence-based women’s healthcare programs for pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum problems. Co-Founder, Nabeil Allam, is one of nine talented entrepreneurs selected by the Confucius Institute at UNSW to participate in the inaugural Young Leaders to China program, where 40 individuals from Australia and the US will get the opportunity to engage with China’s top entreprenuers and investors.
Over the course of their dialogue, both parties discovered many common issues relating to women’s health, as well as treatment methods. Through such exchanges, the Confucius Institute aims to encourage greater links with China and fruitful engagement to help innovative solutions succeed in Australia.
